First aid for a dog who is vomiting includes taking away food and water for a couple of hours to allow the pet to calm down and calling the vet for a dog who throws up more than a couple of times that day. Allow a dog to relax after vomiting with helpful information from an experienced veterinarian in this free video on pet care. Expert: Dr. James Talbott Bio: Dr. James R. What Are The Most Durable Dog Toys?

Posted By: AAVictor on July 17, 2010 at 9:03 am

Question by Shannon: What are the most durable dog toys?
I have a lab who loves to shred things when she gets the chance. Currently she has kongs (the red cone shaped ones, a jack type one and that’s it I think), and this one purple jolly ball that she loves.

What are really durable dog toys for a dog who loves to eat/pick apart at things. Tennis balls don’t work….and errm…something besides kongs would be nice.

Thanks.

Hound Dog Blues (hoopiejohn original)

Posted By: Flipper42 on July 17, 2010 at 5:16 am

September 3rd was the fifth anniversary of the passing of my dog “Star”. (“Princess Elana Blue Star of Wautauga, III”) and I still mourn. She was beautiful: half blue-tick / half red-tick (or “English“) coon hound, spotted and freckled with every natural color that a dog can have. So I’ve dusted off a song I wrote about her years ago, and perform it on YouTube as a remembrance. (If you can play a G chord and a bouncy boom-chang rhythm, you can play this tune. It is a musical oddity – there are no chord changes). **** Hound Dog Blues **** I got myself a hound dog, To be my only friend, She’s faithful and she’s loyal, She won’t run for other men. She don’t want much of nothing – No money jewels or furs, Dry dog food and her master’s touch, Is good enough for her. She don’t bitch and argue, Nor bite the hand that feeds, The only time she ever growls – When she got something treed. When I am broke and lonesome, She senses how I feel, She comes to me and wags her tail, To say she loves me still. And when she runs to greet me, Listen to her sing, — bay like a coon hound –, To her I’m Everything. I got myself a hound dog, To be my only friend, She’s faithful and she’s loyal, She won’t run for other men. Played finger style on my 6-string National steel-bodied “ResoRocket Deluxe” resonator guitar. She deserves no less. Note: I wear the ski mask because I’m otherwise famous, and don’t want this to “get out”.
